We had some very shattering news yesterday after his MRI. They have found that he has some bleeding in his brain. Not only that his frontal lobes are very badly damaged. He will not even make it through dialysis which he needs. The outcome is very grave. We are meeting with the doctor again tomorrow to discuss options for Noah and to make sure that he is not in any pain. He also seemed worse today, so we will need everyone's thoughts and prayers as we have to make one of the most difficult decisions we have ever had to make. Noah will just not have any quality of life. We are having him baptized tomorrow, and then get the strength to be with Noah in these very tough times. Thanks again for everyone's thoughts and prayers. He has touched so many lives and brought so many people close. We cherished everyday that we had with our precious baby boy.

Emily, I don't know if you remember me or not, but you helped me here at my gym, LA Boxing.
ReplyDeleteTommie shared with me (b/c I asked how you were) your blog and so I've been keeping up via Tommie and the blog. Y'all have been weighing on my heart. I just wanted to let you know that I have been where you are. We buried a son almost 7 years ago. I am going to continue to stay on my knees for y'all and hope for the very best. Should you need anything, please know you can call me anytime. 214.924.7472

Emily,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear this. I am praying for all of you.
Love, Amanda
Such devistating and difficult news. Noah is such a gift and has taught us all to love in ways that we never thought possible. Although we still pray for miracles, I also pray that God be with you and comfort you in his final stage of healing should it come to pass.
ReplyDeleteMike and Emily, our heart breaks every day for yall... I admire you both so much for the courage you have to make it through, Noah is SO VERY Blessed! Yall are WONDERFUL parents. I am so grateful we were given the chance to meet that sweet boy, he has changed our lives forever! I don't understand why God made this happen, but I know God sent us an angel in Noah, I pray He will comfort you both at this HARD time. We WILL be here for you both!! WE LOVE YOU BOTH DEARLY ALWAYS! We WON"T quite praying for a miracle for Noah - we will always love that angel - always!

Words cannot express the sorrow that is felt at a time like this. You will be in my prayers for many months to come.
ReplyDeleteThere are no words for us to say to bring you comfort, but if there is anything we can do large or small, we would love to help. You both along with Noah will be in our prayers.
